One Sunday, we went to Bonifacio High Street near Serendra in search of food. This was after looking at food possibilities at the Fort, where for one reason or another and for one person or another, each food choice was rejected. We ended up at this Chinese restaurant that looked very promising from the exterior. Can't remember the exact name of the place but suffice it to say, it turned out to be a little underwhelming.
radish cake with xo sauce
meh.
xiao long bao
There wasn't much soup in these soup dumplings.
steamed minced fish with garlic
I accidentally ordered 2 of these in anticipation of it being delicious. Alas it wasn't. We ended up complaining about it as it tasted like they used fish that was just on the edge of going off, and as usual the manager just stood there and couldn't or wouldn't say anything. Even after we told him that we weren't demanding that it be taken off our bill and that we were just informing them so that they would check in case somebody else ordered it the same day. No acknowledgment on their part whatsoever.
sauteed polonchay
sweet and sour pork
crispy seafood noodle
It wasn't.
minced pork with eggplant
This wasn't so bad.
salted fish fried rice
The salted fish chunks were on the large side and thus when you took a bite you got regular fried rice and then suddenly an intense and not very pleasant burst of salt and fishiness.
chicken fried with chilli
A little hard to see the fried chicken pieces but they are buried under the chopped fried chilli. Lots and lots of chilli and just a few chunks of chicken.
Verdict: avoid this restaurant.
